Evangelical Christianity

Yes, this is true, but Trump is very good at protecting something far more dear to them than the Bible or the character of Christ, and that is one thing only: white supremacy.

Evangelical Christianity has no connection with Jesus Christ whatsoever, and is more or less antithetical to His core teachings and the main beliefs that attracted His original followers: love, mercy, charity, peace, compassion for the poor and sick, and forgiveness.

  1. Mr Gary Tulie says:

I think it is mostly a US phenomenon that Evangelical Christianity has been largely taken over by a right wing political group and divides on party political lines, and even in the US, an increasing number of Evangelicals are beginning to question the link and to see that there is a conflict with core Christian teaching re loving your neighbour – even those with whom you have little in common (Think parable of the Good Samaritan, translated into modern terms as a foreigner or person of a different social, religious, racial, or cultural background), caring for the weak and vulnerable, seeking justice and fairness for all, feeding the hungry, and acting at all times with integrity and compassion!

In Europe, and the rest of the world, Evangelical Christians vote across a wide range of parties.

Very interesting. Yes, I would have guessed this is a US-only thing.
