Understanding Social Democracy

It’s pathetic to hear people maligning democratic socialism who couldn’t even tell you what the phrase means.

A friend told me many decades ago that the United States is eventually going to look like Europe and Scandinavia, or it’s going to be an extremely unpleasant place to live.  Sadly, it looks like we’re headed in the latter direction, because the Bernie Sanders of the world are making precious little progress.

Once you’ve turned over your  law-making process to people who are paid handsomely by the top 0.1%, it’s very hard to regain any semblance of government of, by, and for the people.
