Merrick Garland in the Hot Seat
As temperatures rise surrounding the investigation into the January 6th insurrection, it could be argued that no one is under more pressure than U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland.
Even Glenn Kirscher in his hugely popular series “Justice Matters” is obviously totally peeved at the Justice Department’s apparent lack of action in this arena.
But let’s look at reality. Does anyone think Garland’s posture here is one of weakness or fear? Given that he’s one of the top legal minds of our time, doesn’t he deserve a little forbearance?
As John Dean and Lawrence Tribe write below, why isn’t he indicting Peter Navarro? I don’t know. And neither do you.
