Investment Opportunity for Total Fools
Here’s a start-up that is raising investment capital to build one-person helicopters using technology heretofore confined to drones. Pilots won’t require a license, just a one-hour training course, on the ground using a flight simulator.
At that point, they’re free to take this little baby up and go wherever you please. It’s billed as a vehicle for commuting to and from the workplace, so you’ll be in restricted air spaces, but no matter; just try not to run into things. Why would the FAA care that you’re in the flightpath of planes landing at LAX or O’Hare? Try not to worry about weather conditions and the fact that you are completely clueless about aircraft, and just enjoy the freedom formerly available only to birds.
From their website: We are creating a future where anyone can fly…and the future is starting now. Personal flight has historically only been available to a privileged few with the time and money to fly traditional aircraft. At LIFT, we’ve created a “drone for people” that anyone can pilot – making the joy and utility of zero-emissions, personal, vertical flight accessible to all. Invest today.
Now, if you think that the concept of building and selling these units, while dealing with the constant avalanche of lawsuits, represents a viable business model, you clearly have the mind of a six-year-old, and you may want to send them some cash for an equity stake.
Outside of perpetual motion machines, this is the most offensively idiotic thing I’ve come across in these 12+ years since the launch of 2GreenEnergy.com.
