Corporatocracy Takes Its Toll
There is a lot to love about the United States, which is why when people in developing parts of the world are asked where they’d like to live, they name the U.S. far more frequently than any other nation on Earth.
Where we get it wrong, however, is corporatocracy. American capitalism exists to extract wealth from the common person and hand it over to moneyed interests.
Everywhere we look, we see examples of this, like the one illustrated below. Summarized: With each passing year, our healthcare system is getting progressively more expensive, while cranking out worse results. And there is a reason for this: while most healthcare practitioners care greatly about their patients’ well-being, the system in which they operate couldn’t care less.
