What If Fox News Is Right and Everybody Else Is Getting Played?

The reader who sent me this notes: Liberals, being the way the are, will never admit they were wrong, no matter how strong the evidence is. All you have to do is look at what is going on around us today and the last years under any democrat rule.

It’s funny; I do occasionally wonder about the possibility that the Trump supporters are right, and that:

• The former president is a true, honest hero who made America great again before he was ousted by the Deep State in a rigged election

• January 6th was legitimate political discourse

• Real patriots are rooting for Russia in Ukraine

• COVID-19 was planned by the U.S. government to test how much liberty it could remove from our lives

• America’s #1 problem is the “infestation” of immigrants coming across its southern border

• Colleges are ruining the country by cranking out socialists, etc.

Those who accept that Fox News is right and 99% of the rest of the world’s journalism is anti-American propaganda need to explain how every time Fox is sued for libel, they successfully argue in court that no reasonable person regards their content as anything more than pure entertainment, and that no one of any intelligence believes that it’s real and true.

As Scottish philosopher David Hume told us, “We always disbelieve the greater miracle.”  OK, so what seems more miraculous?  That some of the more than 60 courts that looked for evidence of significant voter fraud actually found some, but conspired to cover it up, or that Donald Trump is a liar?
