Predictably, Donald Trumps Abruptly Ends Interview in Which It’s Revealed that He’s a Liar
It’s hard to know exactly how honest the editing of this teaser video is, but it appears that Donald Trump walked out of an interview when Piers Morgan confronted him re: his lies about the 2020 election.Couldn’t we have seen this happening?
To which a reader responds: He blew up. It happened before on a 60-Minutes interview.
Yes, that’s what I mean. You confront Trump with the fact that he’s a liar, and you expect him to sit still?
Now, you can ask why he agrees to such interviews. He probably thinks histrionics like this endear him to his followers, and maybe he’s right, for all I know. It’s hard to know what impresses idiots like this.
It looks like he’s following Oscar Wilde’s maxim: “The only piece of bad publicity is an obituary.” Trump appears to be noticing something that scares the pants off him: a slow descent into irrelevance, as fewer and fewer people are willing to accept the Big Lie.
Now, his supporters aren’t going on camera and admitting that they were duped, but neither are they showing up at his rallies and cheering madly as the former president tells them that the election was rigged.
Obviously, Fox News isn’t covering this, but it’s hard to avoid noticing that the January 6th committee has conducted more than 900 interviews and reviewed thousands of emails and text messages that all point in the same direction: Donald Trump attempted to overthrow the United States government.
He’s going down, but not with out making a lot of noise along the way.
