Justice Matters

I highly recommend former federal prosecutor Glenn Kirschner’s “Justice Matters” daily video series.  Today’s installment appears below.

The man is very knowledgeable in terms of the relevant law and the applicable procedures that surround the prosecution of the January 6th insurrection, and he clearly wants to see the key architects of the coup attempt to “go down.”  My own perception, however, is that he uses all this enthusiasm to represent matters as further down the track than perhaps they are in reality.

Today’s segment focuses on the fake electors that Trump’s legal team assembled, and presents the fact that it’s a federal crime for anyone to knowingly submit false information to a government agency, in this case, a set of bodies that include the National Archives.  These people signed certificates, swearing that they were the duly appointed electors, when they knew for a fact that they weren’t.

Now, that sounds juicy, doesn’t it?  I suppose we’ll see.

If nothing else, following the program is likely to lower your blood pressure–if you, like me, are frustrated that this matter seems to be moving along too slowly.
