Public Sentiment on Common Sense Gun Laws Changing Rapidly

Here’s another indication that America may have reached the limit of its patience with the gun lobby and the routine massacre of our schoolchildren.

Now, of course, this is Massachusetts, which:

Has the best-ranked public schools in the United States and is the second-most educated state,  just behind the District of Columbia. About 90.40% of Massachusetts adults have a high school diploma, and 42.90% have a Bachelor’s degree or higher. Almost half of the state’s public schools are ranked in the top 25% of high school rankings. Massachusetts also boasts the highest math and reading test scores and a median ACT score of 25.1.

People in places like this tend not to believe that arming unscreened people with assault weapons is conducive to human health and safety, nor, more generally, to a sane, orderly society.

There are, however, National Basketball Association venues where this way of thinking may not predominate.  Suppose you’re at Paycom Center, home to the NBA’s Oklahoma City Thunder; you’re in a state that ranks #39 in education, and, consequently, you might expect some markedly different messaging on gun laws.
