What Universal Healthcare and Free Education Actually Mean

As we examine the meme here, we realize that, sadly, there are many reasons that the United States is not going in this direction.

We don’t really have a sense of society, and even if we did, we don’t care about inequality, or what happens here in the long run. If we’re surrounded by sick and uneducated people, that’s just too damn bad for them.

This is why “Build Back Better” is a losing proposition.  “Better” means that we actually care about what life here is going to be like in 50 years, and today’s Americans have very little interest in the subject.
