A Wild Ride Ahead for Trump and His Followers
As mentioned previously, 2GreenEnergy “headquarters” is located in a rural, “God and country” part of California. Yet even here, locals are starting to notice a back-off on yard decorations (like the flags here) that announce the owner’s allegiance to Trump and the cult of MAGA.
Needless to say, this is a very good sign. It’s as if there is a tacit understanding that the group is dissolving, and that those who haven’t gotten the memo are looking quite stupid indeed.
But stupidity is only part of the issue; it’s equally about violence. If I say, “Don’t tread on me,” what I’m really saying is, “I perceive you as a threat, but in fact, I’m the greater threat to you. If you tread on me, I’ll hurt you badly.”
That’s a lot of hostility, shouted out to a world that has too much of it already. We have an authoritarian invasion of a neighboring democracy, where innocent people are being tortured and executed, and, here at home, we have little schoolchildren being taken out as if they were termites. Do we really need some ass**** upping the stakes?
It will be interesting to see how all this unfolds, as Trump is indicted for his coup attempt, and continues to whine like a baby that the entire U.S. criminal justice system is corrupt, and motivated by partisan politics.
In the near future, tens of millions of Trump supporters will be confronted with evidence that a) there is no evidence of significant fraud in the 2020 presidential election, and b) Trump’s attempt to overturn the election was an act of treason.
Fast times ahead.
