Trump Faces Justice, But When Will the DoJ Pounce?

In 2016, U.S. voters elected a truly evil man to become the most powerful person on Earth. Four years later, a sufficient number of  the folks had realized Trump’s true nature and that his re-election campaign was doomed to defeat, and so he began to weave the narrative into the Republican base, “The only way I will lose this election is if it’s rigged.”

The Big Lie culminated in the insurrection.

Now, via the House Committee’s presentations it’s becoming clear that everyone connected to the former president knew that Biden had won a free and fair election, including Trump himself.

Trump attempted to overthrow the government, and must be criminally charged accordingly.  But when?

It seems clear that the Department of Justice understands that, as these presentations continue, a growing number of us are becoming aware of precisely what happened.  We can see the chronology by which this whole tragic event unfolded, with Trump at the center of it.

Unfortunately, the percentage of Americans who can see that Trump committed treason will never even approach 100; regardless of how damning the evidence, there will always be people who believe him and his lies.  But every time we turn on our televisions, more and more of us see what happened, and demand justice.

After the last hearing, scheduled for June 23, the percentage of pro-justice Americans will have maxed out at whatever that number may turn out to be.

Obviously, I have no more visibility into the inner workings of the DoJ than anyone else does.  But it seems obvious that soon, there will be no more good reason for it to wait, and it will pounce.
