Xfinity Mobile: A Good Thing to Avoid

A reader asked me if I had tried Xfinity (Comcast) mobile.  I wrote:  I did. It was horrendous.
He responded, Really. I am trying to get my bill down and assumed since they use Verizon towers it would be good.

Yes, they do use Verizon towers.  But when my entire family experienced how absolutely terrible the service was, I called in and finally found someone who was willing to tell me the truth.  All Verizon customers get the service they need before any Xfinity customers get any at all, which, of course, explains everything.

It’s just one more example of corporate greed and lying.

Most of us, including me, have come to expect this.  But I’m so disappointed in this particular case. My brother knows (Comcast CEO/Chair) Brian Roberts personally, so it’s two degrees of separation for me, not some random ass*** about whom I know essentially nothing, and expect even less.

Roberts and his investors got incrementally richer, but his 28 million customers had most of their calls dropped, until they had finally had enough and switched back to Verizon.

Until that fateful call, I was telling my wife and kids that they must be hallucinating, and so, when the truth was revealed, I looked like an idiot.  But I’m only one.

The whole thing makes me want to vomit.
