The People at Fox “News” Were Aware that the Rigged Election Was “Complete Bullshit”

Through court records, we now know that the Fox News executive team and on-camera personnel knew that Trump’s claims of voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election were “complete bullshit.”

Think for a moment how vile these people are (if you weren’t aware of it already).  They knowingly misled tens of millions of gullible but otherwise guiltless people into believing that the entirety of America’s democratic processes is corrupt.

Some people paid a greater price for Fox’s contemptible behavior than others.  Most of their viewers are now simply sitting on their couches fuming about something that was a product of just one more Trump lie, propagated via a television “news” channel to an audience of fools wearing red baseball caps.

Others took the bait and ran with it, stormed the U.S. Capitol, assaulted police, were charged with a variety of felonies, tried, convicted, and sentenced.  They too are now sitting, not on couches, but in prison, where they will remain for many years.

Many people wonder why Fox News can’t simply be shut down, i.e., why the Federal Communications Commission can’t revoke its license to broadcast. Though I’m not an expert on the matter, i’m sure the crux of the matter lies in the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.  The “press” is the only institution that is mentioned specifically, with respect to the freedoms that are protected.

Of course, there are limits to the type of speech that enjoy this sanctuary status.   It is for this reason that Fox News is a defendant in several billion-dollar lawsuits for defamation.  One can’t only hope that these vermin will be reduced to rubble financially, and simply go away.
