Solar PV Scam
Here’s a video presented by a gentleman who calls himself “Rich,” making me wonder, for a millisecond, why he didn’t use his full name.
It’s an offer to sell instructions on how to build a small solar PV array that generates electricity for “one-tenth the current price per kilowatt-hour,” using panels that are “100% efficient.”
Their introduction: “This free video presentation reveals an MIT-Designed “Smart Tower” capable of generating up to 20x more electricity than conventional solar panels.”
Coincidentally, I was just explaining to an old friend why all this is scientific bs. The first and most obvious is that the “100% efficiency” claim violates the second law of thermodynamics.
Also, current day PV is ~25% efficient. To say that these solar panels generate 20 times more energy means that they are now, not 100% efficient, but 500%.
My friend totally gets that part, but what she didn’t understand is why the theoretical limit of PV efficiency is far below that. It’s because the energy of the sun’s photons that are incident on the Earth’s surface have a huge range of frequencies, thus energies. Some are too low to dislodge an electron in the substrate, and others are so great that, although they do dislodge an electron, the rest of their energy is lost.
You just proved — with your “2nd Law of Thermodynamics” / and later “energy” comment / position here — that you don’t know a damned thing about what you either write about, oof offer as advise to your neighbor — concerning “electricity”.
You simple don’t have a clue.
FYI — Physicists at The Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory have proven (at least to the rest of us living in the real world) — that “over-unity” power production is both “real” and “achievable” — because they have achieved it: twice (Dec,2022, and Aug 2023).
You just “regurgitate” what you’ve been told — without question.
And because you have a forum — that then makes it supposedly factual — at least to you.
A few “inconvenient facts”:
Electricity is not, and never has been “within the man-defined realm of Classic Physics.
Your “sacred” 2nd Law of Thermodynamics is only “valid” from the “atom on up”, in what is defined as the atomic world.
But for those that continue to both read and learn, and don’t have something to protect, like a forum, position, tenure at a university, etc.– it is now acknowledged — that sub-atomic, i.e., that which deals with everything smaller than the atom itself as a single entity and it’s inter actions: do not adhere to the Classic Laws of Physics; but to Quantum Mechanics, more specifically Quantum Electro-Dynamics.
Check it out — if you have the intestinal fortitude to do so.
Also — “over-unity” power production was not discovered by the Physicists at Lawrence Livermore — it was discovered, researched, developed, and embedded (unclaimed) in Patent 464,666, granted in 1984 — to Nikola Tesla.
You have to be schooled in, and understand “real electronics” to find it — but it is there — as defined in Martins book on Tesla.
I would bet that you haven’t got the guts to print this on this forum — because you have too much position, and income to lose.
But we both now know both who you are and what you are — no differeent that the barbarians you spoke of earlier.
And I will continue to agree -or disagree with what you “present” on your forum — because we both now know that I was correct about what I sent you.
