The Party of the Working Class
What Robert Reich says here is perfectly true, and it’s easy to blame Democrats for their failure to develop and promote a compelling message.
I point to demographics, and in particular, the sprawling ignorance of U.S. voters.
Working class Americans have grasped onto a party that actively makes their lives worse with each passing year, a party that counts on its belief that their voters are too stupid to figure this out. And sadly, so far so good.
As long as that’s the case, and we continue to crank out young people from failing school systems, with terrible skills in terms of critical thinking and basic logic, there is no message on Earth that going to move people to the Democratic Party.
