Uh, could it be corruption between the NRA and Congress?
A reader remarks: I hear there are 1400 NRA lobbyists in or around Congress.
It’s hard to think of a career that requires a greater compromise of one’s personal integrity.
There are some who honestly believe that America really needs better access to weapons of war, that “a good guy with a gun is the only thing that will stop a bad guy with a gun,” and so forth. But most of these people have simply sold their souls in exchange for a few pieces of silver.
To this day, there are still lobbyists for Big Tobacco. Obviously, they need to hope there is no literal hell, but knowing that you’re making a career out of expanding the number of deaths from lung cancer is its own hell on Earth.
