Trump: “Immigrants Are Poisoning the Blood of the Country”

This from former U.S. labor secretary Robert Reich.

My perspective: the leader of the MAGA right has gone too far in his battle to regain the presidency in a desperate attempt to stay out of prison. The vast majority of Americans, who are not hateful morons, are outright repelled by his rhetoric, reminiscent, as it is, of Hitler’s Germany.

There is one problem with your premise concerning “morons”. There are plenty of voting age people in this country — who have no connection to Hitler — what he made happen (with the majority of the German population at the time) — or let alone “said”.

They’re too young to know what the connection is — and teaching actual / true World History sure hasn’t been a strong part of the education curriculum in this country for quite a while.

Finally one doesn’t have to be “hateful” to be “uninformed”. “Making one-self informed” – doesn’t seem to be a strong prerequisite with the younger generations today: as they, by in large; are not inquisitive about past history – and just don’t seem to “give a damn” about it, being in their own little “sci-fi” mental cocoons.
