Straw Man Arguments

From Wikipedia: A straw man fallacy is the informal fallacy of refuting an argument different from the one actually under discussion, while not recognizing or acknowledging the distinction. One who engages in this fallacy is said to be “attacking a straw man”.

The are huge problems associated with the beef industry, probably the most impactful of which is the destruction of the Amazon rainforests to provide room for cows.  We’re losing 200,000 acres per day of this precious environmental resource.  That’s a rate equivalent to one championship-sized golf course every two minutes.
