Free Report: What’s Next For Humankind?
I’d like to offer you another in our ongoing series of free reports, in which we seek to provide an understanding of the most important energy-related trends that face civilization today. The report is based on last month’s poll, in which we asked readers to tell us what they believe the future holds.
What are the most likely top-level events that will occur in the next five years, as driven by our current energy policies (or lack thereof)? Can we expect change? Disaster? Business as usual?
I hope you’ll download the report and find out for yourself. Here’s the link:
The reduction of long-term running costs for everyone, everywhere, forever.
As always, some results were unexpected.
Can’t help but agree with you that an event of some kind occurs in the next 5 years. Optimists might anticipate fusion. Pessimists might bet on a steep increase in methane hydrates release. Mathematicians will bet on the population increasing. Those who are involved or invested in energy will bet on their favorite horse. Politicians will continue to give new meaning to prevarication. Presidential elections will continue to have no particular direct outcomes. And so it goes…
Arlene, you forgot Plumbers will tell you Water will be the main trouble…. This is to say that which we are educated in we see the probable.. no one argues in all vocations we are in deep do do… Of course I am a Plumber.

TheOnlyWay.TV to successfully negotiate our global challenges we now face is to unite for mutual benefit on a single system enabling for the most efficient processes to occur, quickly eliminate poverty, and begin to heal our planet in the most streamklined process that can be delivered. This is how peace and abundance for all occurs through TheNaturalProcess.TV. ItsEasy.TV… it starts with documents of declaration… go to:

Yet simple mathematics is useful. Obviously biofuels cannot fill the gap after fossil fuels. We must give priority to five Fs: Food, Feed, Fiber&timber, Fuelforheat&power, Fertilityrestoration.
Renewables by means of mimicing photosynthesis in synthezising fuels from hydrogenating CO2 has sustainable potential. The methanol synthesis CO2+3H2>CH3OH+3O is no longer any problem – the crux of the matter is to free hydrogen from water. Today electrolysis, tomorrow the sunshine photons.
The first commercial plants on the concept are now online: Carbon Recycling International in Iceland and Mitsui Chemicals in Japan. In five years there will be many more.
Sorry, obviously I talked through my hat when I wrote the above. It should be CO2+3H2>CH3OH+H2O and nothing else.
Craig,
I must say that I feel you are shooting close to a perfect score in your summary.Best is for each individual ‘interested in Green’ to do the most they can in their own little circle….and show by example. The informed will follow.Goes back to survival of the ‘Shall we say “Smartest”‘.
Those waiting for someone else ‘To Do It for Them’……Well…It is like you said…We are getting overpopulated and mother nature has an uncanny way of putting things back in Balance…..Enjoyed your Survey…..
Thanks. Re: your comment on Mother Nature, I’m reminded of George Carlin’s bit on “saving the planet.” I.e., the planet will be just fine; it’s humankind that will be wiped out — just another mutation that didn’t work out, an evolutionary cul de sac.
Craig,
You did an absolutely outstanding job on this report – a gift of service to us all.
Given that leadership charts our collective course, the final point in your report is of paramount importance. Unless world leaders define and embrace new economic theory and practices that give fair and substantive consideration to the basic needs and welfare of all stakeholders, over both short and long terms, increasingly driven by greed, financial self-interests will remain in charge of the course that is likely leading to our demise. The wealthy will otherwise remain exclusively positioned to pursue their mindless, self-serving agenda by means that will continue to debase our current and future prospects for survival – both economically and ecologically.
Ironic is that can be so easy for these powers to kill the goose that lays the golden eggs. As history has shown, humanity may survive an extended period of economic devastation. The same cannot be said for ecological devastation. The games of the wealthy are destroying our prospects for surviving either scenario – simultaneously.
A proactive education-based movement could prove to be a solution towards developing the critical mass of people and capital required to make the difference. From such a movement, promising leadership could and should emerge. An essential precept of such a movement would be the creation and ongoing refinement of meaningful guidelines. An example guideline could include the logic and reasoning to justify ‘investing your money consistent with your heart and values – founded upon possession of practical, accurate understanding of the implications.” Within a context defined in terms of accountability to the needs of humanity and to those of other life on the planet, this would establish a viable context for people to live responsibly, with integrity.
Again Craig, thanks for carrying the torch. Well done.

Thank you Marc. I’ll check it out. Thanks for sharing.
Update.
Marc, I cannot sufficiently express my appreciation to you. It took me more than 10 years of self-directed study to acquire a less clear picture than that which is revealed in the video at the site. You have my sincerest thanks.
