Why Renewable Energy Is Slow in Replacing Fossil Fuels

Many of us are scratching our heads, wondering how it’s possible that renewable energy, for all its merits, could be so slow to replace fossil fuels. I just searched the 2GreenEnergy site for “level playing field for renewable energy” and realized that, over the years, I’ve written 34 posts that touch the subject.  If the good folks in Washington would simply remove the subsidies for fossil fuels and establish such a level playing field, we’ll have fantastic job growth, and all the other social benefits that accrue to clean energy, including the granddaddy of them all: a healthy planet.
