Traffic Congestion Is Unpleasant, But It’s Just One of the Issues Associated with Modern-Day Transportation

Here’s an article that analyzes the traffic in the most congested cities in Europe: what causes it to worsen, and what progressive concepts are being offered to loosen it up.  There are no surprises here: you get what you reward.  When drivers receive cars as part of their job compensation—and when these cars are treated as tax-free, we see insane levels of congestion.  When the same people pay a fee for each kilometer driven, they drive less.   Of course, they object to the fee, but they actively look for alternatives to getting into their cars each day.

Needless to say, congestion is just one of the effects of driving cars with internal combustion engines, as suggested in the pic above.  Just ask some of these people how they feel about the fact that the air pollution is killing them off by the millions.
