Most people live their lives as if they were pre-designed: go to school, make friends, get a job, get married, raise kids, aspire for affluence, retire in comfort, and try to leave your kids a few bucks when you leave this world.
But there are plenty of others who conduct their lives in an altogether different way–those who make their own rules and come to their own conclusions about the meaning and purpose of our existence.
Regardless of what you think about the counterculture in general, or Frank Zappa in particular, you won’t want to miss this short interview. You have my word, it will blow your mind.

This worked for me and he is one of my very favorite guitarists. Another very surprising performance was watching Roy Clark sitting on the edge of the stage fingerpicking a 12 string guitar with the Boston Pops orchestra.
The article correctly states what most people seem to do. However, some of us are ill suited to fit that mold and have to struggle to determine what to do with our lives.
There really should be more flexibility in what is expected of people. Of course we should all strive to live useful and responsible lives, but that does not mean that everyone has to live in the same manner.
