Check out this funny reminder that climate change denial disappears when people have to bet on their positions.
For big insurance, it’s no joke though. The industry has trillions of dollars at stake; note that they’re acutely aware of the increasing risks associated with global warming and adjusting their business models accordingly.
Perhaps this is another way of saying that people follow their pocket more than their conscience. Is it that those who worry about the climate are looking at the economic long term consequences and those who deny its impact are only looking at the short term?
