American Energy Society Has Big Ambitions
It appears that these folks at the American Energy Society are in the process of putting together a forum for energy professionals of all types to connect with one another, which, of course, is essentially what we at 2GreenEnergy have been doing over the past eight years.
They write:
The Scope. There are more than eleven million energy professionals. They come from science and engineering, policy and private investments, industry and academia, media and administration. The sheer size of this audience – as well as the depth of its talent, capital, and inspiration – is a validation of the importance of energy.
The Problem. There is no single professional association on behalf of energy. Instead, there are countless specialty organizations.
The Solution. “The American Energy Society will be essential to the global energy community and energy professionals everywhere, and will be universally recognized for its support of all professionals and for the advancement of energy.”
I wish them all the luck in the world. The more people doing this, the better off we we’ll all be.
Good news.
Am I detecting some movement, mobilisation, global vision perhaps for professional liaisons on a “grand scale” to tackle greenhouse gas issues head on through new age power generation technologies as alternatives to fossil fuel generation?
Soon we might be hearing about “nation building projects forming up”.
I hope so – lets see.
