Trump on Climate Change

Here’s an op-ed in the Los Angeles Times called “Harvey should be a warning to Trump that climate change is a global threat.”

Sorry if this sounds like splitting hairs, but if the author is discussing climate change and using “should” and ‘Trump” in the same sentence, he needs to make statements like: Trump should act in accordance with the international scientific community, Trump should not form a belief and subsequent policy that is completely unsubstantiated by fact, Trump should not base his policies on his alignment with the fossil fuel industry, and Trump should act so as to protect the welfare of people everywhere, especially Americans.

All of these should have happened whether Harvey had come along or not.
