USDA’s Top Scientist: Sam Clovis Kills His Nomination

Sam Clovis, ostensibly concerned about this role in the unfolding tale about Russia and the 2016 election, has withdrawn his nomination.

Rats. I was really looking to a chief scientist in agriculture who has woefully inadequate credentials in both science and agriculture. He would have been perfect for the job; certainly would have fit right in.
