Who Wants To Be Like Sweden?

I respond to the smug young lady here as follows:

Oh yeah?  Well we don’t want to be like you anyway.

Almost half of us here like our hate speech, our border walls, our indifference to human suffering, our contempt for Muslims and people of color, and the mayhem we’re creating around the globe.  We get off on taking away health care from the sick and food stamps from the hungry.  You can live in your snowflake country with its wussy social responsibility and environmental stewardship.  We’ll take our mass incarceration, our destruction of public education, and our dumping of toxins into our rivers any day of the week, and twice on Sundays.
