Technology News from 2GreenEnergy Supporter Fritz Maffry
It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Fritz Maffry, whom I refer to as a “tech maven,” meaning that he’s a keen observer of the technology marketplace. Here are some of his recent comments:
The rout is becoming obvious. Tesla outsold Daimler Benz in total units, which is remarkable. Also they produced units above target number. Google talks about 40K FCA vans and 20K Jaguar I PACE SUVs in their shared ride/autonomous program. Navya is pegged at approximately $250K per unit for their autonomous shuttle.
These are early innings, but it’s already a rout. Tesla stock has risen as Elon set a bear trap for the shorts, who now are increasingly harping on the insignificant.
Electrics are winning, autonomous is winning, and the super techs are winning. Regular automakers, probably a good time to sit that one out. Those who have been betting against Tesla and Amazon are not having a good year, and they won’t.
Now through the negotiations it is becoming very clear what the tech-forward plans were for China, and how they prioritize those; we should too. It is looking like we will soon have $4 trillion market cap companies offering larger footprints of lifestyle solutions, energy, transport, communications, entertainment. We bet Amazon gets the phone business right this time.
The scale of the electric momentum and autonomous breakthrough are spectacular. Google is loading the house with Harvard MBA types getting the models ready and perfected. That is not research; it’s go to market at scale.
Softbank is working with Baidu, Alibaba, and is growing their fund (talk of up to $100 billion), while now getting recognition as some of the portfolio pieces are fit to the puzzle of the future they envision. Lifestyle services brought to you directly by the super techs; that is where the game is going, and growth will keep on.
I always believed in Tesla! I knew that a concept like that would be a game changer and revolutionize the market!
Craig,
Reading Fritz Maffry is like a breath of nostalgia or a veiw into a different dimension !
Much as I’m an admirer of Elon Musk, being both an early shareholder and Tesla S buyer, and I’m very pleased with both the product and the share price, however ol’ Fritz is getting a bit carried away when he claims Tesla outsells Daimler.
Daimler sells 2.3 million vehicles per year, Tesla only produced less than 100,000 ! (25x less). I’m not sure whether Toyota with a whopping 10,418,144 vehicles produced has noticed any “rout” occurring!
The rest of Fritz’s predictions are similarly over excited, even for tech fans like me. If Fritz can bottle whatever produces such enthusiastic optimism, (and get it approved as a legal substance) put me down as a shareholder !
