Koch Industries Extremely Effective

170717135135-13-florida-sick-kids-super-169A great number of ballot initiatives aimed at mitigating climate change went up in flames in the midterms on Tuesday, largely because voters were misled by a torrent of advertising. Here’s an article describing how the Koch brothers and other oil companies spent $31 million to defeat a single measure in Washington State.

I hang out with some pretty enlightened people, whose hearts are full of love and who try never to descend in any negative emotion.  In fact, one of the principles of Quakerism, the religious affiliation of my old school, is that one should love one’s enemies.

Regular 2GreenEnergy readers know that I struggle with that.  It makes me angry that two people, each worth $53.7 billion, are further enriching themselves at the expense of the health and safety of every man, woman and child on the planet–now, and for centuries to come.
