Breakthrough Heating Technology?
Here’s an ad for a helical copper infrared heater that claims that their “breakthrough” delivers “more heat with less electricity.” Consumers should know that high efficiency heaters already have ratings above 90%, some as high as 98%, meaning that only 2% of the electrical power is not sent into the room as heat.
Not sure where you’re going to take this from here, guys. Seems like a questionable use of the word “breakthrough.”
Craig,
Um,… the world of advertising jargon and hyperbole must seem a bewilderingly irritating place for pedantic puritans.
The product seems to be exactly what it claims to be, a small, well made, economical, electric helical copper infrared room heater,
The combination of the terms “classical” and “breakthrough” , are an unusual combination, but that’s the world of advertising.
However, the EdenPURE® Classic Heater does seem expensive for what it does, even considering it’s made in America not Asia.
At $400 plus, the heater doesn’t really deliver much more than a standard comparable heater costing $60. What you are paying for is the long warranty, snazzy appearance and great marketing.
