Dire Ecological Warning, But Will It Change Anything?
What happens when an expert group calls for transformative change, based on a documented decline of the natural world? That’s the subject of this article in Science Magazine.
One million of the eight million total plant and animal species is facing imminent extinction, and their loss is likely to have a cascading effect, essentially destroying our planet’s capacity to support an organized civilization. We must take immediate action.
But there are two obstacles, both of which appear insurmountable at this point:
• The moneyed interests that stand to benefit from the status quo will argue that this “expert group” is wrong, that it has an anti-capitalist motive, that its claim is akin to “the sky is falling,” etc.
• Even if that weren’t the case, making such a transformative change would require an unprecedented coming together of the world’s people, who come from 200+ different cultures.
So what will happen? If the future looks like the past, nothing.

Of course, it’s always the fault of those greedy, “moneyed” interests who stand in the way of a “Nirvana”.

Following the terror tactics shown against Tucker Carson’s family in their own home, Antifa was emboldened by leftist support.
A young credentialed member of the American press, Andy Ngo an small Asian-American gay journalist was attacked and viciously beaten on a public street by an all-white gang of black-clad, masked thugs.
Curiously, the American Left’s response to this outrage has been to express sympathy for the all white gang of bullies !
Andy Ngo, was severely injured in the attack.
Ironically, the cowardly and viscous gang shouted anti-fascist and leftist slogans against their lone victim, one female participant screaming “kill him, Kill him, the bastard ” in frenzy of mob hysteria.
What has been the left”s response to witnessing a fellow journalist attacked by a group of ‘would be ” terrorists?
Parker Malloy of the progressive Media Matters wrote “‘Looks you like were attacked by a small family of pigeons,’ adding,”it’s no more than you deserve”.
Charlie Warzel of the New York Times, wrote, ” normally I’d say violence is unacceptable, but violence is conditionally unacceptable in these circumstances the violence was understandable.”
C.J. Werleman, journalist and leftist activist for ‘social justice’, described Andy Ngo as ‘white supremacist who instigated violence’.
CNN’s Chris Cuomo rushed to support this bizarre accusation. colleagues Jim Acosta and April Ryan agreed opining Andy Ngo deserved to feel what it was like to feel the consequences of the wrath of those opposed to Trump’s fascist tactics.
Former Vice President Joe Biden praised the AntiFa thugs as “a courageous group of Americans.”
Former Deputy Chairman of the Democratic Party of America and Attorney General in Minnesota Keith Ellison, endorsed the AntiFa handbook which encourages “militant” behavior. especially the quote “Fascism cannot be defeated through speech alone”. He also endorsed the planning of and publishing of pamphlets targeting Andy Ngo to be the recipient of violence.
CNN’s Don Lemon went even further, delighting in the advocacy of Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello on the Bill Maher Show for violence against perceived “Nazis”. Maher and Morello agreed, “We all want them to be punched, we all want them to be punched”. (Maher did point out that such actions although justified, were unlawful).
The Nation magazine’s Natasha Lennard praised Antifa’s action as a ‘success”.
CNN’s Sarah Ganim and Chris Welch contacted AntiFa and agreed to edit a headline to be more favorable to the Antifa !
The black, progressive magazine ‘The Root’, Michael Harriot wrote a deeply racist, anti-white article entitled “Yes, Anti-Fascists Are Violent and Necessary” emphasizing,
“It is impossible to stop racist violence with signs, freedom songs and nonviolent resistance. Anti-fascists know that tactic has never worked in the history of the world.” “Smashing, even killing, white supremacists like Andy Ngo is the only way”.
NBC News reporter Benjy Sarlin added the headline, “Antifa Violence Is Ethical? This Author Explains Why”.
The author of the “AntiFa handbook”, Mark Bray an ardent advocate of violence, even terror tactics, to acheive leftist objectives, is still a lecturer at Dartmouth University.
The San Diego Union Tribune revealed AntiFa activists attempted to purchase weapons from Mexican drug cartels, and immediately came under attack.The Federal Bureau of Investigation found evidence “anti-fascist activists… planned to disrupt U.S. law enforcement and military security operations at the US/Mexican border”. It appears the Drug Cartels didn’t trust the activists fearing reprisals from Mexican Security forces.
Not one senior leftist media outlet, or Democrat politician has spoken out against these violent thugs, with the exception to his credit, of Stephen Colbert.
Even leftist moderates have remained silent.
Sadly, this group of hypocrites included those, like yourself Craig, who remain silent about these outrages.
Silence while watching others being victimized by a mob, is a form of complicity.
While you, and others, who remain silent about the violence of the extreme left, you have lost your credibility to condemn anyone. Ranting about the perceived failings of President Trump, isn’t a passport or license to be a hypocrite.
But it does engender in the consciousness of the American people just how morally bankrupt the democrats must be if they are too afraid to speak out against their own extremists.

August 2017: Journalist attacked and robbed by Antifa in San Francisco.
June 2017: Antifa attacked Herald Sun columnist Andrew Bolt in Melbourne Australia.
(In this case Bolt fought off his assailants,who found they had taken on more than they . bargained for when attacking the former war correspondent).
July 2017: Independent journalist Luke Rudkowski beaten by Antifa at G20.
July 2017: Heavy.com journalist Marcus J. DiPaola beaten by Antifa at G20.
July 2017: Heavy.com journalist Max Bachmann beaten by Antifa at G20
August 2017: Rebel Media’s Jack Posobiec assaulted by Antifa in DC.
August 2017: Global News crew assaulted by Antifa in Quebec.
April 2017: Daily Caller cameraman assaulted by Antifa in DC
August 2018: NBC News cameraman beaten by an Antifa mob in Virginia.
August 2018: NBC News crew attacked again by Antifa. female members threatened with rape.

These are just a few of the hundreds, if not thousands of attacks carried out by these masked, cowardly thugs.
There own publicity and “Action Handbook” boasts of the use of using masked, terror tactics including, using beatings, intimidation, cement “milkshake” containing used hypodermic needles and razor blades against opponents. Targeting children and families in their homes, and even assaulting women sexually as a form of ” justified” intimidation.
Doesn’t it even disturb you just a little to see senior democrats and leftist media outlets condoning these masked bullies…..?

The first by Markara Man, 33, of Norwalk, Cal. , against his 19 month imprisonment term has been refused.
Who is Markara Man ? Markara Man was so incensed by the ranting of TV activist john Oliver and the L.A. Post he sent messages and emails threatening to kill the family of Ajit Pai, Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission.
His defense was paid for by Antifa. Building on John Oliver and other hysterical rantings, Antifa and the leftist media went after the FCC’s Ajit Pai, in a frenzy of intimidation, violence and racist attacks.
John Olivers admonished his followers “ we the people must take the matter into our own hands”, he praised the “righteous” anger of Antifa. Antifa and other extremists took him at his word, and life became terrifying for the unfortunate government official and his family.
Although later, John Oliver attempted to rain in his troll army without calling out his leftist allies, the attacks intensified.
Masked mobs attacked Ajit Pali’s and harassed his young family. His children became threatened when an Antifa mob attempted to invade his home,and bombarded him with racist abuse. Parents and teacher at schools attended by the Pali children were warned that association with the “Pali criminals” against the people” was dangerous to other pupils. Over a thousand bomb threats were made against Indian immigrants.
Naturally, not all these threats were made by Antifa, but Antifa was the most organized instigator.
What more does it take to persuade you and other liberals to disassociate yourself from these extremist thugs? What line do they have to cross before even feel they need to speak out against these outrages?
Or will it be like when Peter Fonda advocated kidnapping and subjecting the President’s 11 year old son to torture and sexual assault by pedophiles to be justified, you remained silent?
After all, it was Peter Fonda, and he was angry so it’s okay…., because that Donald Trump, he’s just so awful!
