Electric Auto Racing
This guy goes from 0 – 60 in 1.69 seconds, which sounds like it might be a somewhat painful experience for the driver.

Craig,
E racing (Formula E) is gaining popularity and sponsorship.
The major drawback is the lack of sound. Much of the thrill for spectators is the roar and whine of the engines.
The ear splitting noise and smell of the exhausts is part of spectacle of auto-racing. These events draw a huge and varied audience, without the spectacle and glamour, there would be no sponsors and without sponsors, no racing industry.
Public acceptance of E racing will take time, but it is gaining a following.
