Trump’s Actions Maximize Chaos, Fear, Suffering

Commenting on the meme here, frequent contributor Glenn Doty writes:

The only purpose of any action that this administration seems to be is to maximize chaos, fear, and suffering.

That has been true for the past three years, but even still I find myself shocked at the antics… Now, in the wake of a possible pandemic that could kill tens or even hundreds of thousands, the world health organization is calling for investments equal to about $2/person in America… and instead the fascist moron is trying to cut spending in programs and agencies that specifically help us prevent outbreaks and aggressive epidemics.

And so again, even after the ceaseless demonstration of pathological evil exhibited by this administration and their enablers… I find myself shocked by their actions one more time.

For sure.  One of Trump’s key tactics is keeping us in a state of constant shock.  The more outrageous the behavior, the better.  And what creates outrage?  Often, it’s inflicting pain on innocent people, but committing a variety of felonies also gets the job done nicely.

    Craig,

My real issue with you, and people like Glenn employing such extreme language is the effect it has on motivating extremists.

This is especially true when the mainstream media seems to condone or ignore violence by leftist extremists.

On Saturday in Florida, a leftist activist drove his van through a Trump campaign volunteer tent because, as he told police, ‘someone had to take a stand’.

The activist calimme4d his intention was to kill the two volunteers manning the tent.

luckily, both victims were able to quickly evade being struck by the vehicle.

The suspect told police he was motivated to ram the tent because of his distaste for Trump and because “it’s like someone shitting on your grave”.

The suspect further told police he was a Bernie Saunders supporter, and took several videos of the incident, but he failed capture the ‘good part’ where he drove at the volunteers.

I want to stress my opinion that the actions of this individual in no way reflect upon Bernie Saunders who is in no way responsible for either this persons metal imbalance or that of his other campaign worker who tried to assassinate several GOP politicians at the GOP baseball shooting which nearly killed then-House Majority Whip Steve Scalise.

The silence of the left in condemning this sort of violence is disturbing and it might be time to start reflecting on the degree in which our rhetoric contributes to an atmosphere of violence.
