What’s Eatin’ At Trump?
Of course, no one knows what’s going on inside Trump’s head at any given moment in time. Insiders report that he’s become even more paranoid and agitated than ever before, and that’s hard to deny from where the average American sits. There are plenty of things that would rattle anyone: his former loyalists writing damning books and memos, impeachment in the House, clashes with hostile reporters, constant ranting criticism from the mainstream media (and even a bit from Fox News), the trade war debacle, international condemnation on dozens of moral issues, news about Russian meddling in the elections, the blame he’s taking for mismanaging the coronavirus, the stock market plunge, the embarrassment of the Trump University swindle, the shame of New York State’s findings that he committed fraud in dealings with the Trump Foundation, and whatever happened in the last couple of hours.
So, yes, there are short-term worries, but what is he most concerned about long-term? The author of the meme says it’s criminal prosecution after he leaves office, which seems to be a strong possibility. But will it leave him bankrupt? Imprisoned? Not likely, because before any of that happens, he and his crime family may choose to hit the road and exchange their currency in the Motherland. Today’s exchange rate is 74.85 rubles for each greenback. Should be a smooth transition.
