Understanding (And Participating In) Project Drawdown
At last October’s “Bioneers” conference, legendary environmentalist Paul Hawken spoke about Project Drawdown, the climate change mitigation effort he co-founded. “Drawdown” means the point in the future when levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere stop climbing and start to steadily decline, thereby stopping catastrophic climate change, and the project’s mission is to make this happen as quickly, safely, and equitably as possible.
Here’s a fabulous interview with Jonathan Foley, an environmental scientist and the executive director of the project, in which he explains why we don’t need technological breakthroughs or political miracles to bring the world to net-zero carbon emissions.
