We’re Losing Our Democracy, and It Hurts

For those of us who understand current events and interpret them like he does (and as the majority of Americans do), this is an extremely painful thing to watch.

The latest nail in the coffin, of course, is the Justice Department, which Trump strong-armed into dropping the multiple felony charges against his friend and ally Michael Flynn, arguably the most disgusting action by the DoJ in the Trump era. Flynn pleaded guilty to lying and he said expressly he was pleading guilty because he was guilty. He had jeopardized our national security, and his prosecution was both honorable and important.

We can only hope that something derails this freight train before it reaches the terminal station and goes crashing right on through it.
