Trump and Responsibility

There was a time in American history, from 1776 through 2016 to be precise, during which it would have been unthinkable for a U.S. president to deny all responsibility for a national crisis, and to have shifted the blame from one target to another indiscriminately as time went by and the crisis got worse.  No previous White House occupant would have even thought of trying such a chicken-s*** tack, since it would have outraged the people of this country to realize that their leader was such an abject coward.
