Getting Emotional About the Pandemic

We know we need to keep a cheery demeanor during this pandemic.  There is enough cynicism and hopeless without manufacturing more of it.

Given, however, that there’s nothing to be cheery about, maybe anger is a better response. 

With coronavirus on the rise across the South and West, more states are making face masks a requirement. Yet we have sheriffs putting lives at risk and placing their personal views before the advice of public health experts.

The moron below is Lewis County (Washington State) Sheriff Robert Snaza, who proclaimed, “Don’t be a sheep,” to loud applause from a mostly maskless crowd gathered in a church parking lot.

OK, I’ll say it.  That makes me very angry.
