Trump and Demographics

The meme here got me thinking: who’s voting for Trump?  Or, maybe it would be easier and more instructive to list a few groups of people who aren’t voting for Trump: the vast majority of educators, Hispanics, blacks, medical professionals, scientists, LGBTQs, young people, veterans, top-level military, urbanites, intellectuals, atheists, people whose religions call for compassion, those who eschew pathologic lying, and woman who resent sex criminals.

Here’s another way to looks at this:  Trump lost the popular election in 2016 by just under 3 million votes.  Since then, we’ve seen dozens of the country’s most visible Republicans endorse Biden (see partial list below).  How many people who voted for Hillary Clinton are going to vote for Trump in 2020, after living through four years of lies and mayhem?  34?  Also, 16 million Americans turned 18 in the last four years (including 3.2 million Hispanics), and 11.2 million people died, mostly the elderly.

What Trump’s left with is a) the hateful and ignorant and b) the amoral rich.  Sadly, that’s not nobody, but it won’t get the job done.
