That Trump Is Destroying the United States on His Way Out Becomes Clearer with Each Passing Day
In withdrawing the United States from the Open Skies Treaty and destroying the highly specialized aircraft used to conduct surveillance on Russia, Donald Trump has made it impossible for our own nation, as well as all our allies, to know which country is to become the next Crimea, illegally annexed by Vladimir Putin. Moreover, in the likely event that Joe Biden wishes to rejoin the treaty, it will be an extremely time-consuming and expensive endeavor. (See video below.)
How much damage, especially these assaults on national security, will the U.S. Senate allow, before they remove the president via the 25th Amendment? I’m very much hoping someone can explain how it’s possible that he’s still there, destroying our country.
What sort of mysterious force creates the loyalty that the GOP-majority Senate has for Trump, a man in an epic amount of debt, soon to be removed from office, and almost certain to face a litany of felony charges if he chooses to remain in the country? How threatening can he actually be? Perhaps they don’t want to admit that they’ve been abetting a sociopath from the very start. It’s really anyone’s guess.
Yes, there are 73 million people who cast their ballots for Trump, but there are 330 million Americans whose lives are more profoundly endangered with each passing day. In addition, there are 741 million people in Europe, now rightfully concerned that the end of this treaty, an agreement that has provided them with the information they need to protect themselves since the fall of the Soviet Union three decades ago, will now allow the next annexation.
