Total Absurdity in Arizona
In the county of Maricopa, the largest in Arizona, County Recorder Stephen Richer is one of the Republican officials tasked with maintaining files on 2.6 million registered voters, and he’s completely done with Trump’s false accusations about the 2020 presidential election.
With respect to Trump’s statement at left, i.e., that the entire voter registration database has been deleted, he wrote, “Wow. This is unhinged. I’m literally looking at our voter registration database on my other screen. Right now. We can’t indulge these insane lies any longer. As a party. As a state. As a country. This is as readily falsifiable as 2+2=5.” He continued, “Here’s a great example of a plain-as-day lie that will lead our Arizona residents to think the Maricopa County database has been entirely deleted. Help me call out this lie.”
Trump notes that neither Fox News nor Newsmax are “covering” this “story.” Now of course, that could be because they know it’s total fiction, and they just got finished admitting that there was no evidence of a stolen election, so as to avert a $1.3 billion law suit for defamation, filed by Dominion Voting Systems.
It appears obvious, as if it weren’t already, that Trump’s niece was 100% correct when she said that her uncle would never back down, regardless of how ridiculous this becomes. The lies will simply get bigger, and they will never, ever stop.
If sanity is to be restored, it will only happen when the Republican party calls for an end, so as to stop the bleeding. As it is, with each rotation of the Earth, the GOP is one day closer to the 2022 midterms, and looks increasingly like a party whose leaders should be in straightjackets, locked in a facility for the criminally insane.
This will not work, Republicans. Not that I care a damn about your continuing to participate in our fragile democracy, but let it be said: this will not work. As we have seen, many Americans are stupid, and gullible beyond words. But you folks have pushed all the BS way too far.
