A Christmas Gift in the Making

It’s easy to be frustrated with the feeble pace by which the United States is putting its house back into order in the months following the ouster of the Trump administration.   Yet we all need to keep in mind how rapidly this whole thing could turn around and the entire ordeal at an end.

What happens when a few key indictments are handed down? When Americans decide that the rioters were not behaving like tourists and realize that our democracy was in the process of falling prey to a sociopath?  When we see that hundreds of thousands of us would be alive right now if the pandemic had been met with honesty and competence?  When we start to understand that the activities of the Biden administration are making us healthier, safer, better off financially, and more admired internationally?

By Christmas, this whole morass could be entirely behind us.   What a gift that would be.
