Lots of Good News, Though Not Everyone Is Aware of That
Senior energy analyst and political activist Glenn Doty writes:As we have gotten our people vaccinated, at a rate which far exceeds every other nation in the world, we’ve not only seen >90% reduction in the number of weekly deaths and >80% reduction in the number of severe and hospitalized cases, we’ve seen ~1,450,000 people who were working part time for economic reasons shift to full time.
We’ve seen the average wages increase at an average rate of over 2%, but the focus has (deservedly) been in the most-exploited traditional jobs. For the hospitality and leisure industry, the non-management pay has increased by over 12% since Biden was sworn in, and that is still soaring.
We’re seeing broad labor growth in all industries across the board: more hours, higher wages per hour, more jobs, higher productivity.
We as a nation are getting more healthy, and our economy is finding its way back to health as well.
The people who are lost in the infinitely false propaganda of the Trump cult are really missing out on a lot of really good news.
You’re assuming that these people actually want good news, and I challenge that. These are people seeking out far-right propaganda outlets, and who therefore believe that new catastrophes are popping up every day due to Biden’s incompetence. I have a neighbor with a flag that reads, “Don’t blame me. I voted for Trump.”
However, it appears, at least to me, that this phenomenon is losing strength, and that the general successes we’re experiencing as a nation are going to make it very difficult for Trump to remain relevant in U.S. politics, even if he succeeds in staying out of prison.
