There Are Two Camps When It Comes To Trump’s Character, and Neither Is Converting
The people closest to Donald Trump are univocal in their statements that the 45th president is an unprincipled, pathologically lying, conman. Yet tens of millions of Americans know better. They are convinced that Trump is an honest servant to the nation and its people, and that he was hounded out of office by the liberal elitists, the Deep State, and a conspiracy of many hundreds of election officials.
This clearly is an issue that will never be resolved. Even if Trump is charged with and convicted of any of half a dozen felonies, his core base will simply write this off as just another level of unfairness directed at the man they perceive to be the best friend the United States has ever had.
