Literally Speaking

One of the most repugnant aspects of American culture is our notorious butchering of the English language. For whatever reason, the error that cheeses me off most is the misuse of the word “literally,” as in “The Vikings are literally getting slaughtered.”  No, cows get literally slaughtered; the Vikings are far behind in the football game.

On a lighter note, here’s a driver who took the sign too literally.
