Conservatives Despise California–A Further Discussion
I wrote a post recently on how conservatives hate California, and tend to represent it as a dystopia that has come about from decades of socialist policies and general mismanagement, In response, a reader notes:
I’m not sure for other industries but as for agriculture, California is losing its farmers/ranchers and Colorado and Nebraska are getting a lot of people who farm moved to them. We’ve gotten 5 dairies in our 50 mile radius that have moved from California.
There are definitely industries that relocate out of the state, due to regulations on greenhouse gas emissions, toxicity levels, animal cruelty, etc.
We’re OK with that. In fact, we’re proud to live in a state that is known for the progressive stance it takes on the important issues of the day.
