This reminds me of the environmental conferences I’ve attended at which bottled water is offered, and the symposium on alternative fuels whose keynote addresses was given by a spokesperson for the American Petroleum Institute.

It’s easy to understand this guy’s frustration. My only comment is that market-based climate solutions do not necessarily have to be gradual. Once carbon-based products become relatively expensive, they’ll disappear fairly quickly.
