Trying to Establish Strategic Partnerships and Joint Ventures?
If you’re involved in clean energy as a business, if you’d like to be a part of the multi-trillion dollar renewables industry, let me ask you this: Do you ever wish you could establish win-win relationships with key business partners? Your venture does not exist in a vacuum. Wouldn’t it be great to develop the basic relationships you’ll ultimately need to succeed, teaming up with those who can provide a more complete, market-ready solution, product distribution — and perhaps additional investment capital?
Introducing Lindsay Oliver
Lindsay Oliver, a gentleman I came across late last year, has recently come onboard as a 2GreenEnergy associate. Here’s a guy who’s made his life’s work establishing strategic business partnerships and joint ventures. In his long and well-decorated career, Lindsay has helped numerous businesses nail down successful, long-term relationships with investors, contract manufacturers, distributors, rep organizations, component suppliers and other supply chain partners, as well as anchor customers.
As soon as I had fully wrapped my wits around Lindsay’s background and track-record, I realized how valuable he’d be as an associate. After all, how many businesses make it alone in today’s dynamic, global marketplace? How wise does it seem for fledgling businesses to go forward without the backing and support of powerful partners?
Negotiation
And how often we hear about the importance of negotiating skills. Anyone who’s read an inflight magazine since Charles Lindberg and Amelia Earhart were in the skies has seen ads extolling the power of negotiation, and offering seminars at which those skills may be learned. My point is that Lindsay is an expert in the field — and thus, simply put, a good guy to have on your team.
Engineering Technology Transfers with China
A number of 2GreenEnergy clients have expressed both hope and dread about the prospects of dealing with China – and this is another good reason to speak with Mr. Oliver. Lindsay successfully completed technology transfer projects for clients in military robotics, and leading-edge welding technology.

Hi. JOHANNESBURG. Local organisation Trade Plus Aid (TPA), in collaboration with Swiss-based Acrona Systems, has launched the Capstone range of microturbines. The technology produces very low carbon emissions, making microturbines a clean, green, reliable source of energy. “With the rise of electricity tariffs, alternative methods for generating electricity are becoming increasingly viable. The US-based Capstone Turbine Corporation is the world’s leading producer of low-emission microturbine systems, and was first to market with commercially viable air bearing turbine technology,” says Matthew Hayden, founder of Trade Plus Aid and MD of Acrona South Africa. The technology will be distributed by Acrona South Africa, a joint venture between Acrona Systems in Switzerland and Trade Plus Aid. Acrona South Africa is the exclusive distributor of Capstone MicroTurbines in Southern Africa. This state-of-the-art microturbine is being introduced to South Africa as part of the Trade Plus Aid Biogas Programme, an initiative that aims to combat climate change by installing biodigesters to generate methane-rich biogas from animal waste on farms. This biogas is a sustainable and almost free source of electricity for impoverished rural households. “We are a motivated network of people, passionate about creating innovative solutions to environmental issues. Solutions that not only help to heal our planet, but also drive the development of impoverished rural households in southern Africa. This TPA Biogas Digester Programme is an effort to motivate an introduction of sustainable energy generation for the agricultural sector, as well as promoting a holistic approach to nutrient balancing and soil management,” says Hayden. We are looking for funders for the Trade Plus Aid Rural Biogas Programme in South Africa.
